Quotes of the week (1-4-10 to 1-8-10)

So some of my more “Intelligent students” and I am using this term very loosely, since a couple of them did make my list of things they say in school. Which brings me to this change in my blog, I am only going to post a new blog a least once a week of actual quotes that they say for that week. If I don’t get enough for the week I will just put it for the following week. Since this is the first time I am week I am doing this it’s going to be short. I will not put actual names of student on here to protect them from ridicule from their peers.
Let me set this up for everyone, the class is doing an activity in groups and not everyone can participate all at once so some of them are doing other things while they wait their turn. So one of my students that was waiting was reading a book and this is what he said,

“Man this book has a lot of words”

In the same class, another student and the student prior were messing around when he stated.

“Read your book with pages”

Here is the next one from a different class, I was talking to the class and told them that I was no longer going to log on all the computers in the morning instead I would give them the password for the computers. It only works in the room and I monitor and record everything they do so I figure why not. This is what he said after I gave them the password,

“I would have never gotten that!”

I just looked at him and said, “Well if I made it easy for students to figure out then it would not be much of a password.” More to come, it will just take some time.
